This is the same bouquet from yesterday's daily, but this time I played with it in layers and added a texture. Basically, I desaturated it and added one of Kim Klassen's textures, dream, which has text that says, "dream" and other inspirational phrases. If you don't know Kim Klassen, go to http://www.kimklassencafe.com/ and check it out. She does online tutorials that are really good, in addition to all her fab textures.
I'm not quite happy with this image still. I couldn't seem to get the right light balance that would be light enough to show all the text, yet dark enough so that main flower isn't too light (which it kind of is) and also darken the text of the texture. It's been so long since I played with textures (or with my camera or with photo software at all!) - I wish I had time to take another of Kim's classes!
Thanks so much for your kind comments on yesterday's shot. Oh - and if you look in the larger sizes, you can see more of what the texture text says.
