February 13, 2012 Cranberry Orange Bread Let me just say right off the bat that I should have just lied and saved this for Easter. Hey, it could pass for Easter! But no. This is actually a shot of our Christmas Cranberry Orange Bread that I just found on my card and uploaded yesterday. I have been so busy and stretched, that I didn't even remember I had taken any shots at Christmas! Now THAT'S bad! And I am way too embarrassed to post my red and green Christmas cookies shot. That will just have to wait for next year.

August 25, 2011 Red, White and Blue Cupcakes EDITOR'S PICK, betterphoto.com, July 2011, Digital Darkroom Just popping in to share my excitement over this image. It was chosen as a finalist in the July 2011 monthly betterphoto contest in the Digital Darkroom category. There were over 15,900 entries and 1,005 were chosen as finalists (the first step in being considered for 'finalist' is being chosen as an 'Editor's Pick' - which it was chosen as an EP in July). There are really, REALLY good images as finalists. July 4, 2011 Red, White and Blue Cupcakes Some July 4th fun for today! I used a Topaz Adjust filter (psychedelic) on this. Seems the results of yesterday's crop question (http://www.kdstewart.net/Whats-New/2011/15273048_JZ5Zm#1365941420_7gp9Phq ) are that the vertical (portrait) crop may be the better one, since the landscape (horizontal) one doesn't follow the rule of thirds. And maybe that is what was bugging me about the horizontal one - that the main flower is smack dab in the middle of the image (bleh). I really appreciate your thoughtful input, comments and suggestions! That helps me A LOT to grow and think about my images, so *big hugs* to all of you for that!
