Ed says that if anyone would still like to participate (it's lots of fun!), you can still send him your versions of his photo and he will post another round of variations. Just go to 2 Guys Photo blog at the link above and you'll find the info for where to send it to him.
UPDATE: I've just been informed that the critiquing is only to take place for those who say in their postings or jump start comments that they want it. I must have missed that part of the discussion. I am sorry if I have stepped on any toes by attempting to critique those who didn't indicate in their posts that it is ok.
As for mine - it's always ok to give constructive criticism.
So this image today is something I created from his beach shot, or the colors of it. Ed says that if anyone would still like to participate (it's lots of fun!), you can still send him your versions of his photo and he will post another round of variations.
I made this as part of Ed Spadoni's challenge on his and Rey's blog, 2 Guys Photo. You can find the challenge and Ed's original photo here: http://2guysphoto.wordpress.com/2012/07/19/photography-or-art-now-its-your-turn/ This was so much fun to make, and I couldn't wait to post it here (got Ed's approval to use it since it was created from his original image)! And I also can't wait to see what others came up with!
This is the shore from our brief trip to Beaufort, NC in July. My camera lens was actually a little foggy with condensation (going from AC to outdoors), so that is the blur that you see. I rather liked it, though.
A shot from our brief trip to Beaufort, NC last month. I took this on Shackleford Banks on a day trip to see the horses of Shackleford Banks (photos to follow in the next few days).
Sorry I've been out of touch with everybody and not commenting on your photos in the last month or so. Very much too busy. I will pop in and out as I can. I do really enjoy viewing your photos and feel I learn a lot from them - and I appreciate your comments too!
I took this at my friend's house in Beaufort, NC on an abbreviated trip. I love the pattern painted on his stairs! I did a 'regular' version of this and then also this HDR version and really liked the way the HDR version plays up the pattern on both the stairs and railings.
