Shackleford Banks Horse 4775

This is actually from our brief trip to Beaufort, NC at the end of July. I took a day trip out to Shackleford Banks to see the wild horses. They are supposedly the oldest herd of wild horses in America, and they are horses, not ponies. Just small due to not great nutrition. Their ancestors arrived here from Spain in the 16th century. This mare is part of a smaller band of the herd that hasn't seemed to have done as well nutritionally as the other band (she actually looks thinner than this but the Topaz Adjust Portrait Smooth setting I used smoothed out her ribs).
