Kara Stewart > Shackleford Horses 4771

These two are from one of two bands of wild horses on Shackleford Banks, NC just off Beaufort, NC. The guide assured us they are fine, the head mare in this band is apparently not as good as the head mare in the other band at finding nutrition. The wild horses of Shackleford Banks are the oldest herd of wild horses in America, arriving over 400 years ago.
